Unable to cancel landline or expiring LTE contract

Saga #1. I had a fibre line installed in March 2018. Instead of Telkom "converting" the line, they added the fibre line. This was their internal mistake. I have been through to their call centre every month but I am still getting billed for this line which is no longer being used. Every month I am promised that the cancellation has been logged, escalated and will be reversed.

Saga #2. I want my old number back but was told that it first had to be cancelled (Saga #1) and thereafter I could apply for the number to be used in place of my fibre line number. I am not holding my breath on that ever being achieved. So many months have gone by now that everyone uses my new number on the fibre line number.

Saga #3. My LTE Router contract expires at the end of September. At the beginning of August I contacted the call centre and was told that I could only cancel at the end of August. I contacted them again at the end of August and was told I can only cancel online. With them holding on I tried to but it would not cancel. I was then told that I could not cancel any other way. It had to be online. As I had to cancel 21 days before the contract expired I then tried to cancel on the 7th Sep only to find I could not due to my account being unpaid. I have a statement showing it is paid. Once again I had to contact the call centre and was told that they see the account is suspended but is fully paid. They would unsuspend it and if I waited a few hours it would be working again and I could cancel. That did not happen. Called again the next day. Was once again told they would unsuspend the like and I should wait a few hours. It is now past the 21 days cancellation deadline and I can only see that I will get billed another R505 which I will have to fight to get reversed.

A while back I had made a conscious decision to support my country and use Telkom. Unless something drastically changes in the next few days, I will stop using Telkom for anything and also sprerad the word to everyone asking for advice that they must use anyone but Telkom.
