*****ulent billing practices at Telkom Mobile

My Telkom Mobile account number is ***.

I took out a month to month sim only deal in the month of Feb 2023. I was told they will not charge me for the full month of Feb and will charge pro rata since I purchased the deal in the second week of Feb.

Apart from that, there was also an issue with the simcard where they loaded the wrong deal. Please check the account history and you will find the changes that were made by your office in the month of Feb. This is because they loaded the wrong deal and thus I could not use the simcard for a full week while they sorted it out. The manager I spoke to to resolve this matter told me that since I could not use the simcard that week which was an error from their side, that they will minus this from the pro rata amount that they will charge for Feb.

I have now received an sms to say they are debiting R500 from my account this month. Which means they are charging the full amount for the month of Feb plus the March bill. They should NOT be charging me for the full month of Feb as this is what was promised to me for the mistake that was made by your office.

How many clients are you guys giving the wrong package to and then still charging the full price? This is so *****ulent. You guys should not be charging me for the week that I could not use the simcard due to your mistake.

In essence, they should only have charged me for 2 weeks in Feb, not for the full month when I did not even get to use the simcard for the full month. I want to be refunded for those 2 weeks in Feb or I will be sharing this on social media with my 10 000 + followers and will also be cancelling this contract with immediate affect if this is not resolved in a prompt and honest manner.

Very dishonest and constantly disappointing service. The fact that this is the 4th mistake made on my account in just 2 months of having it is truly appalling. You guys do not take any pride in your brand. I do not recommend Telkom to anyone. They do not make your life easier. You will be doing admin every month for all the mistakes they make.
