Tuscany Glen - Telkom WAR on cables

This company has done lots in recent months to improve its public profile and services that it offers. The company offers GREAT services and products to millions of South Africans. I love the turn around the company is making with the number of clients moving towards it for services they want in a modern era. The company is the largest (and thus monopoly) service provider for telephone line connections.

Thus it brings me to the actual use of telephone lines... internet.

Telephone lines are necessary to have an ADSL connection in my area. we RELY on this company and will GLADLY pay x-mount of money for the use of their telephone lines to access the internet.

In recent months cable theft has reared its ugly head in the area. Each time Telkom re-installs the cables. Thus the company has opted to stop reinstalling copper cables in the area. The company has other options also, fiber. Fiber is what ALL residents want and this company refuses to roll out fiber in our area.

In fact, they are saying there is no roll-out plan - indefinitely. So what next? LTE ? They want us to get a LAN look-a-like phone that operates with a simcard, then BUY DATA BUNDLES!!! in this country??? isn't there a reason why data must fall?? No one can afford the ridiculous high tariffs. So it means out area is bad business and we are left stuck with no internet.

Telkom CEO's(Bullies) you are a company that has no respect for the citizens using your products, making a decision without seeking to involve the community and wanting to force an expensive product (inferior quality) down our throats. Bring fiber into the areas we live in by having the residents sign up. Dear reader, the latter is being done in gated communities!! why not our areas??? we want to have fiber and are willing to pay for the service.

We are disgusted by the action you have taken never to replace the copper cables in our community and the other communities you are bullying.
