Trying to cancel my Telkom account.

I write this review in the hope of resolving this matter - finally. I can't even begin to describe my frustration with the "faceless" call center of Telkom.Because of poor ADSL lines and service from Telkom, I decided to cancel my landline last year. This was about May 2018 that I started the process. Because I had my email address for so many years, I asked them to keep my email address as a "stand alone", which you apparently can, and then only pays about R17 or R18 a month. They eventually manage to do that - after hours and days on the line with their call center. And every time you have to explain the situation to a new voice, that promised to sort out the problem. But I kept on getting invoices for the incorrect amounts. They kept on billing me for internet charges and ADSL Line. This was all cancelled as at 03/06/2018. Luckily they kept my email alive - most of the time. Every time they sent me a monthly invoice, I phoned the call center, explained the WHOLE story again. Then the voice on the other side "saw" the problem, and promised to resolve. But they NEVER resolve the problem. The last two months they kept on closing my email acount, so that I could not receive or sent mails. Every time I phoned them, explaining VERY patiently the problem (you are so welcome to go and listen to our phone calls), the promised to rectify. Then my mails came through again for a day, and then stop again because of non-payment. The last couple of times I finally gave up!! I made piece of losing my email account of 13 years. I already changed my email address to gmail, and notify all concerned. The last straw was a "Letter of Demand" from Telkom that I received today. I must pay or else........... They urge me to contact them AGAIN without any delay, otherwise they will proceed with legal actions. How many times MUST I try to resolve this. I gave up - I totally gave up!!!!!!!!! Two of the call center agents gave me their email addresses to correspond with them. After one or two mails their replies where as dead as a door nail. hellopeter are now my last hope............ @Telkomsa
