Try to do a SIM Swop
<p>I went to the Telkom SA outlet at the Middelburg MP Mall. When I xeplained to the lady that my SIM was faulty and how I proved it, she said I needed to do a SIM Swop. She requested proof of residense and my ID. I presented my Drivers license and asked my son to get the Proof of residense from the car. Then the lady told me that My Drivers license was not accepted as a method of ID and she required me to bring my ID book otherwise she cannot assist me. The Banks and numerous other places accept my Drivers license, but Telkom SA do not allow it as ID, This is total madness and utter poor service.</p>
In otherwords, you say that the Banks that have a much more secure profiling system is out of line accepting my Drivers license, as well as MTN and Vodacom, as well as all other finance and security organizations. Even at the SAPS my drivers license is accepted as ID. At the bank the lady told me that they will not accept my ID book as Identification as it is to old and she cannot recognise me on the photo in it, but you tell me that my ID is all that will be accepted. I used my Drivers license for the last Rica process I did and it was accepted, so Telkom suddenly have a rule over-ruling everyone else, even the Police and Licensing departments. You are goooooood.
I saw at the bank the other day that a guy pasted hus picture in a ****** ID trying to change the PIN on a bank card. While standing there the lady at the bank saw the flaw and made alarm. Still you tell me that only my ID will be accepted. That is why there are so much *****, and by the Telkom statement you made you accept this type of *****.
