Topup of Telkom bandwidth

The wife & I have been watching a lot of Showmax, so my monthly bandwidth is down to less than 10G. No problem! I can do a topup, as I have, before. Not so, Telkom's topup facility fails with both cards. I don;t want to, but I go to the Telkom Store, who, after I have broken my back, waiting, can't help me. They don't say so, but the REASON is that the topup website is bust. I start sending emails to all and sundry. By today (Mon 21st) I am getting responses which indicate that there is a problem (without coming straight out and admitting it). In any case, I treid yesterday and this afternoon. nada. the My Telkom website invites me to try the Beta site. That was even worse, less friendly and I found no topup facility. Telkom are the communications of the Republic. The entire RSA internet depends on them, but that can't sell me or allow me to topup my bandwidth. They, like so many other companies, have a **********, impenetrable wall between themselves and the public they (are supposed to) serve. I try 10210 no joy. 10213 and various selections, always ending up where no-one can help. I was even given 10213 1,1,3 which was CLEARLY the wrong choice.
