Took over landline and now lumped with extra services from previous subscriber I didn't know about

I took over a landline from a subscriber (line transfer) and now I get a bill for all sorts of other services on the previous owners account eg fibre etc. All I wanted was his landline number, no extras, no ADSL etc. Impossible to resolve this with the caliber of Telkom people you have to deal with and tried to cancel these services via My Account. This is an utterly hopeless company to deal with

Ok I hope it does. As it is I am facing an account of R2,108.99 at the end of this month (a bad time for all consumers to be paying for what they don't actually owe) for services I have never contracted for, or used, where a simple residential landline should be costing me around R340 per month. And nobody can stop the debit order so guess what? Many months of pain and anguish to get a refund most probably. It is totally ********* what has happened here

As expected nobody knows about the reference number from Telkom above. Phone 10210 Billing people say this is a fault reference number and I must speak to sales. My only recourse on this is to reverse the debit order Telkom will put through my account tomorrow. I dont like doing this but why should I pay money I don't owe? In what civilised country cana business like this survive?

Still not resolved. Ends up that Telkom is billing me for services in Johannesburg (I am in George) that have absolutely NOTHING to do with me. Unbelievable the incompetence of this organisation
