Too many errors by Telkom, seeking General Manager contact number
Telkom, Im disgusted in your service. I've spent HOURS speaking to useless consultants, constantly telling me, that they will get a supervisor or teamleader to give me a call back. I was told this 8 Times now. No such person has called back, infact my matter from last month has not been resolved and a manager was supposed to call then, still up till today (1 Month Later) no responses.
I've recorded the calls on my end, the responses from consultants are terrible for the public to hear, infact it would bring telkoms name down even more, Telkom MUST UNDERSTAND * YOUR CONSULTANTS REPRESENT YOUR BUSINESS*
If this is the type of services customers are subjected to, then Telkom needs to make a drastic change. What ever happened to the good old days of having proper customer service. I mean you take our money, we pay you for a service, when your service contradicts terms and conditions and when Telkom is at fault, nobody wants to assist us.
This morning I've recharged my account of R35. SMS has confirmed this. Which I have a screenshot of. I then went to purchase a bundle using *123# and selected the Mo nice bundle for R33.50 . I then recieved a SMS saying I only have R23 available? At this point ive said "this is happening again" as this occured last month and was told id recieve a call. Every month this has been happening to avoid dealing with this exact type of service I've kept refilling airtime. Just how long does Telkom expect me to do this for?
I run a I.T business In the Durban area. Please do not tell me how data works, I've studied this throughout my years. It's quite simple, no one is dumb enough to leave their data on while recharging. So I've definitely not done that, however amounts still dissapear.
When I call your call centre, I was told 2 things.
1. There is something called a "redirect" where if you fill airtime, it reserves an amount should your data be on while you have no active bundles then it will use from your airtime. I have never enabled such setting, if Telkom Enables this setting as default, IT IS WRONG TO DO THIS!!!!!
Now while I've taken this ridiculous statement into consideration, another issue troubles me, that is if a devices mobile data has been disabled, it CAN NEVER EVER MAKE AN INCOMING OR OUTGOING DATA CONNECTION. (Therefor any excuses by Telkom in this regard will not be entertained)
2. I am told that system needs to update, and that takes about 45Mins - 1Hr, in order to find out exactly what happened to my missing airtime. In my honest opinion that's ridiculously long. And very much unacceptable as this is like robbing a person on the street and giving them no medium in which to seek justice, Justice In this regard would mean your " Call Centre" a Play where customer matters are to be resolved on time, in a friendly and calm manor and avoiding unhappy customers in co ordination with the customer service agreement Telkom by law has to uphold.
For a world leader in Telecommunications, I must say that your systems are very outdated. when a customer calls about a issue, it's because it's experienced at the very same time. At this point Telkom is unable to advise the customer exactly where his hard earned money has disappeared to. Essentially you are Robbing your customers not only of money, but by service delivery as well!!!!!!!
Another incident which occured 3 hours later on this very same day, was after all this headache. I've refused to fill another R10 to this "R23" to make it to be able to purchase the bundle for R33. This has worked and I RECIEVED a CONFIRMATION SMS stating that
"Your Mo nice bundle has been *SUCCESSFULLY LOADED*
This automatically means your bundle has been purchased, and you are now ready to surf the net. Which I proceeded to do. Some time after, the internet connection dropped. I then checked my balance:
1.NO SMS STATING MY MO NICE BUNDLE BALANCE. 2. NO NOTIFICATION ON LOW REMAINING BALANCE WAS RECIEVED.
At this point anyone would lose their cool, I then called your call centre AGAIN for the 8th time now. (Last call I made) which lasted a total of 1Hr :15min, in this time I was told to hold on for a manager or teamleader which was supposed to call from the very first call this morning. Now that I have 2 issues that are not resolved, Im slowly starting to lose my patience. After this 1HR:15mins the call was dropped on me. With no call back from the consultant who placed me on hold for so long.
Right now im beyond frustrated, and have decided Telkom will need to review my account and refund me for all the missing airtime over all these months. Including the Airtime Advance was was used to rectify Telkoms Miscalculation on my airtime. I feel Telkom should repay this for all the inconvenience caused to me and out of good will for the terrible customer service offered to me.
If Telkom staff do not wish to assist. Kindly pass me an Email or a contact number for the Telkoms Operational Manager or Higher, as now I would like to log a formal and public complaint regarding this issue.
Should Telkom require proof on my side of these transactions, I have plenty screenshots to confirm. Should Telkom require data usage history of my device, I will release the logs to their technical department.
At a last resort, should Telkom fail to assist in a possible ways, I would like the number of Telkoms SA's legal department as I will have to sue to recover my funds and the case would be in public eye.
I have far too many screenshots as well as 4 x 1 Hour call recordings of me asking Telkoms consultants to rectify my issue. If I can't be assisted in a timely fashion I will prove the incompetence of such staff by posting these files to social media and other online News sources.
Yes I am being a difficult person for a small amount of money because Telkom must release, we work hard for our money and we cannot throw it away and overlook this all the time. I will be a satisfied customer, because I will take extra ordinary steps to see that this post is heard and dealt with.
I cant seem to understand how a call centre has no available staff to assist customers issue where the problem is above the average consultants command in the workplace.
Please contact me on ********** 949 to rectify this. Im tired now Telkom, I really am. Please understand that far too much has happened right now and I think I should be given immediate service in this regard.
