Threatening Telkom telemarketers & consumer act violations.

Telkom phoned my mom's number from +27 87 ********** this afternoon insisting to speak to me (the number was never mine and was never connected to my Vodacom contract). Since I've never done business with Telkom before or given them consent to contact me for marketing purposes, it is ******* for them to contact me in this way according to the consumer protection act.

The lady said that my number (not the one she phoned) qualified for a Telkom contract. She proceeded to ask for personal information, such as how much I spend on my cellphone contract. When told that it has nothing to do with her, she threatened that she had my ID number, (which was never given to her, so apparently contact info was obtained in an ******* way) and could put the contract through in anyway if she wanted to.

She was extremely rude and proceeded to throw the telephone down in mom's ear.

How many times can a company violate the consumer protection act in one phonecall?

NEVER contact me again!!! Remove my number from all of your databases and leave me out of your ******* bullying. If I haven't done business with you as yet, chances of it happening now is 0%.
