Thieving Telkom
In the month of June 2021 my bank account was hacked into and I had to block my account. I contacted telkom and notified them unfortunately they could do nothing because they needed 30 days notice. I paid the amount due a day before the debit order date. Telkom send me a message to say that this month the debit order is now R642.79 because of an unpaid debit order. My question is how do I notify you if I had to block my account due to a hacker. I cannot possibly see the future to tell telkom that on this day my account will be blocked. You guys are being ridiculous and for such a huge organisation you don't have a term and condition that actually protects your customers from a situation like this?! You should be fully aware of the high crime rate in South Africa like how you have terms and conditions that protects your company you should have a condition that set aside for clients who Experience this type of problem. This was beyond my control and I have been in contact with telkom every step of the way I work hard for everything I have and I did my part by notifying you. The strange part is even though my account was blocked other debit orders still went off it was only telkom that couldn't get through why???? Now I'm being charged R242.79 extra when it wasn't even my fault???? Your Consultants in the accounts department could not even assist me. In fact one consultant kept on insisting that I need to phone the mobiles account when it's not even for a mobile it's for fibre-to-the-home and when I explained to her that I've always called this number she cut the call on me! This is telkom's fantastic service
