*******. Failing to cancel contract/debit even when confirmed.
I attempted to cancel my Telkom mobile ****le contract in January. After having it for 24 months, I took out a new cheaper option. As per their guidelines, gave them 30 days notice via the means they request. It is now September and they are STILL debiting me. I have spoken to 5 different call centre agents. All claim to have 'escalated' the issue. I even got an SMS confirming the cancellation. But nope, my account continues to be debited. There is now R 1750 of unauthorized debits. Telkom is literally *****ing from me. Stay away. Run far away from Telkom. They are dishonest and their service is absolutely PATHETIC and useless.

20 Sept 2017, 13:22Hi Ithabeleng.
Thank you for the reply. I eventually went to Standard Bank and put a stop order on the debits as I cancelled this in JANUARY already but nothing was done. I now got a bill from Telkom saying I owe them as the debit did not go off, and they have app**** R 481 worth of additional fees which I refuse to pay. I also, as in all my conversations with the telephone agents would like a refund on all my debits from March until August, as this was money essentially ****** from me. Please advise on how to proceed, as if not resolved I will be taking the case to the Ombudsman.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
