******* called Telkom

I have a contract with the service provider. My debit is set to go off on the 20th, this month the day fell on a Sunday (20.01.2019), the money was available but the payment only went through on the following day (Monday 21.01.2019). Tuesday (22.01.2019) afternoon I try to make a call, and I get a voice prompt telling me that my account has been blocked. I call Telkom immediately to have this resolved, at the end of the call I was informed that the matter has been escalated and my service will be available between 5-24 hours. This was not the case.

I called again after 24 hours (23.01.2019) and I was told the matter will be resolved within 5 hours. This was not the case.

I call in the evening and I ask to speak to the manager, I held for 20 min for that manager only to be told that she's busy with another escalation, I was asked to leave my alternative contact number and assured that I would receive a call. This was not the case.

I called this morning (24.01.2019) and guess what? The matter has been escalated and the manager will resolve the matter, it should take 5-24 hours. I then demand to speak to the manager, the manager is again not available. I was again asked to leave my contact number again, guess what I did? I fell right into that trap again.

I am yet to have this block lifted, I am still waiting for the managers call.

In short.. They took my money for their services, after taking my money that service was cut because I "owe" them, and I've never been in arrears. A debit order is in place and has been going off as per agreement. My outstanding balance is R0.00, this is what they also see on their systems, and they still cannot resolve the matter. In the interim, I'm unable to make calls, make use of my apps, go on the internet - I basically have no phone.

And the branches are just useless. They will sell you their products, you'll be assisted with technical issues, but they cannot resolve for an agreement they had initiated and finalized. It is all in the hands of their hopeless call centre.
