The pathetic saga contiues

After going through hell with Telkom mobile Customer service (or I should say non existent customer service) since November 2016 where I originally tried to make payment arrangements after becoming in arrears with my cell phone account. After contacting their call centre numerous times, sending emails by the dozens, going to the walk-in customer centres at least 5 times (standing in the cues for hours, being given to many reference numbers to mention this attempt totally failed. I even lodged several complaints on Hello Peter for which I received emails from ********** with even more reference number of which one the last ones was AI ********** .

Then after seeking legal advice, I was told that the best solution to the problem is to cancel the contract in accordance with the consumer act, and pay the outstanding amount as per their statement even if I had to borrow the money. So I requested the cancellation document and paid the full amount outstanding on the account, I emailed the cancellation document as well as proof of payment to them together with a letter and all the other details relating to my attempted dealings with them, I also took the cancellation document together with the proof of payment to a walk-in customer service centre, where I was given a case number ********** 6. So I presumed that the matter would now be finalised, especially after receiving my last statement indicating that I had the full amount that I had paid credited to my account.

But I was foolish and naive to think that the matter was resolved, as I received an email from a collection company called Nudebt for a first installment to be paid of R2000 for this already cancelled contract. Note that the contract was cancelled on the 15th of December 2016 and the full amount outstanding was paid on the same date. When we phoned the collection company (Nudebt) they informed us that Telkom handed me over for collection on the 12th of January 2017. Now my question is, "what the hell is going on here", I have proof of payment in respect of the full amount outstanding, I have a copy of the cancellation letter with proof that it was receiced (hence the case number provided) and I have a statement from Telkom for the end of December indicating that the full payment was received. Now after all this they go and hand me over to this collection company (what are still trying to collect?).

This is bordering on shear client harassment, and I am considering taking all my documents to an attorney and lodging a civil case against Telkom for this absolute incompetance. This is probably the only pathectic company where the left hand has absolutely no idea what the right hand is doing.

The likely response that I will receive from ********** which by the way seems as if they are part of the hand that don't know what they are doing, and also seems to only be there to frustrate clients who are complaining on Hello Peter even more (Telkom is also probably the only company that has a dedicted Hello Peter email, hence the HP before the ********** likely due to the numerous complaints.), will be "please forward us your details, so that we can investigate" (obviously with another AI reference number), and that is where it will remain.

I dare Telkom to preve me wrong - by sorting this issue out once and for all. (I think this is wishfull thinking)

I am still waiting for a finalisation of this issue but Telkom seems to be addement to ****** me around, I'm being sent from pillar to post, but they are unrelenting in giving me the most pathetic service a customer can be given. It seems that I would have no other option than to take this to a commercial lawyer to sue Telkom for the litteraly hundreds of emails, phone calls and visits to walk-in customer service centres and for handing me over to debt collector (Nudebt), who I now also have to deal with. I have all this evience to prove how they have been ******ing me around as well as the stress that I have gone through with all the threats and strange messages and acounts that I receive from them. Get your act together and solve this issue once and for all. As my next step is definately to hand this over to my attorney.

This pathetic saga with Telkom seems as if it is never going to end. During the last few weeks I have had numerous telephonic conversations regarding this issue. They told me that the contract was closed and that there was a credit due to me, and that some-one by the name of Pinkie would be phoning me in this regard. To date no-one has phoned me, and everytime I phone I get new promises without results. They even went as far as telling me that I am unreachable telephonically, which is a blatant lie, as I have provided them with the numbers on which I can be reached - they have infact been trying to phone me on the number that they blocked and which I cancelled on the 15th of December 2016(This is absolutely ridiculous as they should have been aware of this.) Everyday that I phone I get a new promise of a phone call to finalise this issue, which has now been ongoing for about 4 months, but every single promise is empty, I wait around the phone the whole day, but no-one from Telkom phones me.
I am now considering legal advice regarding this matter, and have already been in contact with the Credit Obudsman who is prepared to take the case on, on my behalf - but I am still hoping that this will not be necessary, and that Telkom will start honouring their promises, But this will be my final attempt before handing the matter over.

Just when I thought that TELKOM Mobile cannot sink to lower lows than they have in the past. They go and improve on their lower than low pathetic service and customer care. After starting to deal with this issue since November 2016, they have still not resolved the matter. Every ten days they give a new case number, tell us a consultant will contact us within the next ten days, but nothing happens. so when we phone again after ten days they tell us that they have tried to contact us but either on the number of my cell phone THAT THEY HAD BLOCKED LAST YEAR IN NOVEMBER (I think this is a bit stupid - but yeah at this point in time I don't expect anything less). Or they tell us that they phoned us on some number that nobody has heard of before (ALSO PATHETIC -Yes). Now today after being owed R17000 and paying R6000 of it for early cancellation of this pathetic contract. I am told by a consultant that my case has again been closed and that the balance of the money which I had in credit ***ED TO ME) has been reversed and that is the end of it. LIKE HELL IT IS, after going through hell with having to deal with TELKOM on no less than 43 different occasions, they have not been able to sort this one single issue out (WHICH IS THE CANCELLATION OF MY CANTRACT AND REFUNDING ME).
This whole issue is verging on client/cutomer harassment. I they cannot sort it out to my satisfaction my next option is the Credit Obudsman (14 Days) and if then not yet resolved legal action, including costs both finanacially and emotionally.
I have given them my contact details at least 20 times over the last 3 months, but they can still not get it it right (so much for a communications company):
So I will provide them again:
Name: Natasha Gibbs
Cell No: ********** 827 (my mother's cell which I am currently using - but you should know this by now)
ID No: ********** 062082
Email: **********
Let's see if you can get it right this time ( THE SOLUTION I REQUIRE :
1. THE R11000.00 CREDIT DUE TO ME TO BE PAID OUT TO ME
2. A LETTER CONFIRMINING THAT THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED PROPERLY AND TO MY SATISFACTION)

This is the type of reply that I expected from Telkom. Cannot explain their Pathetic Service. Case is now strong enough to take legal action.
Their silence says it all.
