The National Communications service cannot communicate
What a disappointment, this. the National telecommunications provider, is. I am moving house on Monday, and having been advised that it takes 3 weeks to supply a new service, I app**** on 17th Jan. for connection to existing fibre and supply of the 'bundle' on offer - router, broadband and telephone connection. After 3 weeks had elapsed I managed to get through to them to enquire as to the progress of my order. I was told that the technician could not find the address - it is within a gated estate which has a street address and each residence its own address within the estate. They got as far as the entrance to the estate and did not deem it common sense to ask the guard! They were unable to explain why I had not been advised of the problem as it was 'not their department'. Never-the-less the error was rectified(I hope). For the last 3 days I have tried to find out the progress - does it go to the bottom of the list, or since the error is theirs, does it receive priority?. They are unable to tell me because they, the national communications service are 'offline' every time I phone- there is no other means of contacting anyone for information - if you go to the shop, they refer you to the telephone (which is offline)It really is poor service, and if we have any hope of growing the economy communications need immediate attention.
