The lack of infrastructure

I recently moved from a suburb in Kimberley to a suburb on the outskirts of kimberley due to work which still falls within the boundaries of the municipality. when we contacted telkom to relocate our ADSL internet service we were met by a lack of knowledge, a lack of interest and a lack of infrastructure. apparently the brand new exchange building close to us is not ADSL capable. which got me thinking why not? And why would it be a difficult scenario to install the necessary components to make it capable. after all we have telephone infrastructure running to the houses in the new suburb. its a question of installing the necessary ports to provide the ADSL service. we can not go the wireless route since the sunurb doen not have enough coverage from any wireless service provider. do we really have to wait for the fibre optic roll out and pray we are included? in all the years we are not the first or the last to ask for a proper internet service. the suburb includes more than 4 army units as well!

the suburb is called Diskobolos in Kimberley
