The inevitable "Non-Service provider" - Telkom

After paying my fees every month to Telkom and due to fact that I switched over to another company for Fibre, I had to cancel my ADSL and voice line with Telkom. My first cancellation was on 4 December after which I was told that i needed to cancel again in a month as soon as my ADSL was transferred back to Telkom from the other company I was using. I was also told that I needed to forward the same cancellation in January to Telkom. After that I have been phoning Telkom on a weekly basis to confirm my cancellation was received and to get it finalized. I was told by various consultants that Telkom does not confirm anything in writing in terms of cancellation. So I will never know if my cancellation has been finalized. End of January 2018 should have been my last payment, but February and March I continued to receive invoices for amounts payable for a Telkom line stopped using end of November 2017.

I have sent emails to Ashley Goordin (some manager in the cancellation department who I am not allowed to talk to at all), David Stellenberg in the billing department, who I talked to once and he stated he will provide feedback on email and over the phone, but that never happened and every time I called, he was somewhere else and did not want to take my call. Sondisa Sicwebu informed me that they don't do anything in writing in terms of cancellation but they will backdate my account and credit, which did not happen either.

I have experienced this kind of so called "service". We have taken the matter up the legal route and we surely hope that Telkom gets a wake-up call.
