Terrible service that I have to pay for

I had submitted a phone for repairs of which was under warranty. The assessment had been done by the repair company and due to the cost of the repair not being worth it, I have opted not to repair the product. The repair company now claims an assessment fee to be paid due to me not opting to repair the phone with them, this is stated in the fine print of the job card. Who reads the fine print of the job card??? The Telkom consultant at store should have advised me of this charge when I had handed in the phone. Terrible service!
