Terrible Service

My phone was ****** on 14 April at around 6.30pm.

I phoned Telkom that same day at about 6pm and spoke too Khensani Ngobeni and asked her to block my device and Sim card. I asked her 3 times before ending the call whether it was blocked and she assured me that it was.

My phone was retrieved today from the place it was ****** and when I tried to switch my phone on to see if it was actually blocked, I saw that it was actually not! Only the sim card was blocked.

I then contacted head office immediately and spoke to Tshepo Mochwari from jhb and told him about what had transpired and that the phone was not blocked at all. The call ended at about 7pm and he told me that the branch manager would contact me in the next 20 - 30 minutes. It is now 10pm and I have not received any call back or response from them.

I feel that this is pathetic service because if we were not able to retrieve the ****** cellphone today, the ******* would have had access to all my personal information stored on my phone. I'm sure you are well aware of what can be done when someone has access to your personal emails, whatsapp messages and plenty of other personal information on your phone.

There is a reason why we have the option to block the phone, especially for in unforseen events like this, however a simple request like this could not have been completed. I asked Khensai 3 times if the phone was blocked and she assured me that it is.

It is really unacceptable that this was dealt with in such a sloppy manner and if this is the pathetic service received from Telkom in such a serious circumstance, then I definitely do not want to be associated with Telkom in the future and will not be recommending this service provider to anyone.

Im sure these calls are recorded. Please retrieve these call records and listen to it. I would like this matter to be escalated and the relevant employees be dealt with accordingly.

You can contact me on ***.
