TERRIBLE SERVICE

I am tired of receiving bad service from Telkom and I am a first time customer. The last week of February 2017, I found out that Telkom had a deal for R149 per month for a wifi modum with 5G anytime data and 10G night time data for a 24 month contract. I wanted this deal and app**** online that very day. I wanted another deal and that day when the sales person called me to do the verifications, I asked him how I could get another one and he said to go in store. I went in-store on 22 february 2017 and they had system issues. They gave me the modum and it was activated on 23 February 2017. The online delivery was then delivered on 28 February 2017. I received my first invoice on 4 March 2017 and it showed that I was billed for a full month for both modums. I went in store and was told that my dispute for the charge for the month of February 2017 would be escalated. Reference number: ********** 7. My dispute was how could I be charged R149 for receiving my online delivery on the last day of the month and R149 for having the other device for 5 days of the month. He explained that it would be sent to the billing department to review. on 6 March 2017 another device was delivered to my home. I felt very disappointed and upset as I only wanted the two devices. I called Telkom sales on 10213 and was told that the 3rd device was placed through their system on 1 March 2017 and that they will send an email to the person who confirmed the sale to request that the device be picked up. ref: SHE ********** 21010. On 14 March 2017 I received an SMs from Telkom saying my case was resolved. I was furious as I did not receive a call or an email from anyone saying what was done regarding my billing query. I called the sales department first regarding the device that wasn't collected and was promised it would be collected on 20 March 2017. Sap reference number: ********** 963. I then called the Billing department and was told that as one of the devices was obtained in Store on 22 February 2017, I would need to discuss that billing issue with the store. However I am being charged for the devices and not for the data used therefore they have started billing me from February 2017. I disputed the matter and spoke to Tebogo, a manager at the Johannesburg Call Centre. He promised that he would liase with the sales department to listen to the call so that they could confirm what exactly was discussed. The 3rd device was not collected on 20 March 2017 and I called the sales department again on 22 March 2017 and the guy that helped me apologised and said he would escalate it to his manager. The next morning I was called and it was picked up. And I was happy as the unwanted device was finally collected and I sent an email on 24 March 2017 to Siphiwe at Telkom who assisted me to confirm that I would not be charged for the device returned. The reference number was ********** 63 - order number - SHE ********** 1010 and to this day I have not received a response. Last week I called Tebogo,Manager, again as I did not receive a response regarding my query. He said that he did not call me back as it was not needed to listen to the call. I was upset and disgusted as he promised that he would listen to the call and get back to me and did not do anything. He did not even have the decency to call me back. As a manager he refused to assist me continuing to say that it is a device charge and he doesnt need to refer back to the call. This is appalling service. I told him that I would write a review on Hello Peter and he said it was okay. When I queried the instore device with N1 City Telkom direct they adjusted my bill with R70. I have received my invoice from Telkom for April 2017 and I have now been charged for the device that was returned. And I am beyond tired and upset that a big company could treat their customers in this way. As a consumer charges should be explained to me and this was not done and when I requested that they refer to the call Tebogo refused to do so. This is against consumer rights. I would like to request that BOTH my queries be addressed by the powers that be. The billing issue and now being charged for a device that has been returned. This is horrible service and I am dreading the rest of my contract term with Telkom.
