Terrible Service

I have the received the most terrible, **********, pathetic, digusting, etc service from Telkom. I can't express my dissappointment any better. I have been reporting a fault with my ADSL line since May and every time I report it I get a reference number sms, then the next day I get an sms to say that the fault has been restored and it has not been fixed. I then have to report it again, then the same response without the fault being repaired. I then called the call centre and get an "escalatiom" reference number, which means nothing. I then resorted to twitter and then I get no response, not even a status. The on the 28th of July, 2 months later I get an sms to say the fault is restored. I have to within 24 hours reply to the sms if it has been restored, obviously the reply is NO. I then get a call from an 021414 number to ask what the problem is and get told my port must be swapped. On Sunday I get a call from an 012688 number to say that they can't link to my modem, I check and my voice line is now dead. I then get an sms with a progress update to say the fault is in hand with the technical repair division. I try to follow up with the call centre on the 2 August and get told that there is an underground cable fault on MY line and the that technician was at my premises but there was no-one home. I was never contacted to make an appointment, I was then told that the consultant emailed the technician that my burglar alarm is linked to the line and that they must liase with me as a matter of urgency to repair the fault. When I contacted the call centre today 11 August, the first consultant was extremely rude and contradicted what I was told on the 2 August, she then cut the call. I called back and then assisted by a different consultant who was more understand and informed me that the technician was assigned to the fault today and that he would be attending to it today. The technician then called me as asked if anyone was home, I informed him that there was not. I explained the fault to him and he informed me that he would trace the fault from the exchange side. When I got home the fault was not restore. This I do not understand. As a former Telkom employee I know what needs to be doen, it is after all only 2 wires. I know that the are emplyees who belong to CWU who are on strike, but that should ot have cause me to wait more than 2 months before my fault was "attended" too. I pay my bill in full every month, but for almost 3 months I did not have the benefit of proper service. We had a family emergency and the only contact number listed was my home telephone number and I could not be contacted. This is exteremly horrible and disgusting service from my former employer. We are held ransom by poor service as we have no alternative in my area. I hope that people can read this a see how paying customers are beng treated.
