Terrible experience since May 2017.

This all began with a cancellation form which was completed and send to Telkom Mobile Cancellations, on the 21 December 2016. I notice that I was still being invoiced/billed in the beginning of 2017, I have contacted the relevant department several times, and this request was only processed in June 2017, which is 6 months later. Please note that I am only mentioning the cancellation part to give an idea of how long I have been battling with Telkom. Despite the bad service I received as mentioned above I decided to take out another contract with Telkom Mobile, which was done telephonically on the 20 Oct 2017. I was told that I would receive the device 4 to 7 working days from the application date (20/10/17) and that I would be receiving a new sim card with the device, which will be activated with 24 hours once I have received the device. I have asked the agent to reiterated more than once with regards to the billing of the month in question as we were heading towards the end of the month, she advised me that I would be charged a pro rata from the day that I receive this device and once it is activated. To my surprise , I notice that I have received all the usage subscription data bundles, sms's etc before I even signed for anything. Please note that I had a telkom number, which I opted to keep with the new contract. I called the contact center to inquire, as I was dreading a high invoice for November 2017, I was on a call with the agent that assisted me with the application, not to mention was very unhelpful and impatient with me. I than requested to speak to her team leader who took the time to listen to my complaint but our call was cut unfortunately. I immediately called back, bearing in mind that i have been on the phone with Telkom for almost an hour already, and all of this is taking place during my working hours. I don't even want to mention just how long one has to wait for someone to answer, I have never held on for Sales (10213 option 4) for less than 20 minutes. I received a voice message from the team leader who happened to call me while I was calling back, but no one bothered trying to call me back again considering how concerned I was about my subscription fees and that I was avoiding a high invoice. The very same thing, that I was dreading, i received a Telkom invoice dated ***, with a deplorable amount of R1 250.96, which entails a full subscription fee billed for the full calendar month of October 2017 and I only had the device for two working days of October 2017, and I have specifically asked how I will be billed, and this is not what was explained to me or even mentioned, never mind the fact that I reiterated the billing portion more than once. Please keep in mind that I had the device just for one week only and I signed up and agreed on a contract of R699 per month? I have contacted the 081180 number immediately and was told that a case will be raised and that the turn around time is an extensive 72 working hours which is equivalent to 9 working days. I took it upon myself to rather return the device as I was still well within my 7 days cooling period, (Please note that i am still in possession of the device) and I cannot afford to pay a ridiculous R1 250.96 for a phone? there are many other objectives that I would like to raise, but i just don't have the time to highlight all of them, but my main one is that I was incorrectly billed according to the agreement/application I accepted over the telephone, and now I'm forced to return the device , of which I'm not content about at all. I called 081180 back again today (07/11/2017) and urged for someone to please assist me with my billing before the device is collected from me, but no one that i have spoken to at Telkom went the extra mile to accommodate me, and I'm bluntly told to wait until a "back office consultant" calls me I impose cancelling all services that I have with Telkom, including home services. I have never experienced such a debacle when it concerns customer service ever in my life. can someone please get back to me.
