Terrible customer service

I went into a Telkom store at Clearwater mall on 07/07/2019 where I requested a number change on my contract sim card,the guy that assisted me told me to wait 3 working days so that this change may take place.I waited 4 working days and then went into a Telkom store in Trade Route mall to find out about the progression on my request,the lady that assisted me told me that there is no sign of my request on the system.This has been such an inconvenience on my side as my phone was lost hence I had to request a number change.
