Telling ADSL and telephone line down for 46days!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would.

So due to cable theft in our area, telephone line and ADSL has been out of order since 27th July 2018. We logged a fault on the same day and didn't receive a reference number from telkom. Called again on 30th July, lady says no fault is showing up. Also the first time we heard about the cable theft was on the 30th. Since then, started calling them every second day or so. Was told due to the loss of connection being the result of cable theft, an investigation have to occur before they begin work. Sure, no problem. Couple days later, still nothing. Then I came across the number for telkom CEO office call centre. Spoke to a gentleman who says he's sorry for the inconvenience cause etc etc he would escalate the issue. Asked if I could be cc'd on the emails, nope can't do. Been phoning every day since then and still no luck. Fault is with cables department. Cables department put in a cable but it's faulty. Technician assigned. Fault gone back to cables department. Technician couldn't figure out what was wrong. Back and forth this went, promises were made that they would get back to me. Friday, 7 September, I was told, first thing Saturday morning, technician would attend to the problem. So I called again today and I spoke to a lady. She says no technician has been assigned and that one will be assigned. Asked for the cables department number, can't give that to me.

I am at my wits end with Telkom. Everything we have tried has been unsuccessful. God forbid you ask to speak to the call centre manager. Oh no, they do not take that lightly. I was told why do you need to speak my manager? He's going to tell you the same thing I did. He can't do more than I can.

I've asked for a date for when the line would be up and running again, can't provide that.

It's been 46 days. FORTY SIX!!!!

We have spent almost a R700 on buying data .

If the CEO's office can't help, who can?
