Telkon does not care about losing a custome

I had acquired the services of the Adsl system from Telkom on a residential Line. This was installed on the 28 of July 2016. This was done during the day. When I was at home that evening (Thursday) to test the internet was not working. So I called the support line who logged a ticket who said they will get a technician by Saturday to come back out. By Monday no one came out. I called again and now the agent from technical department said i should not be waiting as it’s a new installation and should have been referred back to sales form day1 as the engineer should have back out immediately. So go back to sales who dispatches an engineer same Monday. Engineer came and when i went home i tested the line, the internet now works but the Wi-Fi router only works in the same room that the router is in. 5 meters away and the signal is right down. I have that day (2 days after initial installation) have spent hours at a time on calls speaking to many team managers in technical or sales. I called back the technicians who advised that the reason for my trouble is the cheaper router that Telkom is using the Huawei router and they never had this problem when they installed a Dlink Router, It was confirmed by two technicians. And from initial sales calls and all the calls raising the issue I was still advised that a router should be +-50metter radius of Wi-Fi signal. Through many days of arguing the point of this I got through to a sales team manager who said he will order another router but they don’t have stock of dlink, so I said the router has to be a Dlink or I’m going to have the same issue again. He promised feedback but did not come back to me. His name was Thabiso Mohlahlo, I then I asked to speak to the sales floor manager (that was +- 2 weeks ago). His name is Thanduxolo Mantakana. After a discussion I typed this below mail out. I awaited this router that was promised and on Thursday 11 August 2016 the courier company delivered a router. I open the box and the router WAS NOT A DLINK ROUTER but the same brand Huawei router. Third week and I haven’t been able to use this service properly at all from the time it was installed. I called again yesterday to speak to Thando and he is now telling me that they told me no stock and he can’t do anything even though he promised me on a recorded call that the outer they were sending me was a dlink. I EVEN WENT TO THE POINT OF ASKING HIM IF HE IS WILLING TO LOSE A CUSTOMER AND HE SAYS I AM WILLING. I even offered the option to buy the router as there is plenty of other stores that has the router and they can reimburse me but they refuse. Then I go back through to Thabiso and even offered that if Telkom can’t supply a router that works then I will even accept a second hand repeater or range extender and he said they can’t and that they want to terminate my contract. I told them not to as i wanted to speak to Tsepho who is Thanduxolo superior. I called back and spoke to Madiamo Pillay a consultant who spoke to her Team leader yesterday and he4 advised that he will get Tshepo to call me. Today I still didn’t receive the call so I call back and get through to an agent called Mbali. After explaining the story to her she put me on hold to speak to her team leader who is also Thabiso. She then comes back on the line and tells me that no manager wants to speak to me and that she can’t send another mail to Tshepo to contact me. Then i asked to speak to her manager and she kept insisting that i have been given all the details and there is "NO REASON FOR ME TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER". After insisting that I will not drop the line till she puts me through a manager. She then again transferred me to Thabiso who said he will call me back. Three hours later no Call from Thabiso or from the head manager Tshepo who I requested to call me yesterday. I am fedbud and will call them to cancel my contract

Good day

Just to put into writing our conversation a few mins ago. You advised that you are replacing my "faulty" Huawei router with a Dlink router that should arrive by next Tuesday the 16\08\2016. You advised that it will arrive by courier and by tomorrow you will furnish me with a courier tracking or waybill number.

Please confirm with a reply the details of this email.

Nathan Pillay
