telkoms vdsl ****

i spoke to so many of these technicians and sales personnel to get my 20mbs adsl moved to 20mbs vdsl they confirmed after the 4th call that i can get vdsl onto my line so they told me to go buy a vdsl modem so i went to game saw one on special bought is came back doesnt sync on vdsl modulation only on adsl so i phoned again they told me the need to phiscally change the port at the exchange so the next day they told me its working i am still on adsl no vdsl now the say after i bought a modem for a glorified paperweight because of uneducated personnel. i really hope that another line supplier come i WILL DITCH TELKOM IN A HEARTBEAT telkom is utter ****. i wold rather deal with a loan shark at least i know what i get

The problem was i saw according to your coverage checker we could get vdsl i phoned to confirm they said yes the tech side and sales side the 4th call they said i am on a vdsl profile i must just buy a vdsl modem. The next day i found out i cannot get vdsl after i confirmed i can. Reason i wanted vdsl i would maybe get n little bit beter of an upload speed as i am like 50m-70m away from the exchange. And multimode isnt vdsl if it cant sync on vdsl modulation only its not vdsl as it goes to adsl2+ if you check on the coverage checker it shows our the whole town has adsl but if you click on vdsl it will show a portion of the town has it that was the reason i thought we can get it and most of the staff confirmed.
