Telkom’s Night Surfer is a Slow, Painful Lie

I don’t even know why this company is still allowed to sell Night Surfer data the way they do. I recently bought the 100GB Night Surfer bundle via USSD, thinking I’d get normal speeds like I usually do in the day, around 10 to 30mbps or even higher. But here I am, 3:55 in the mother****ing morning, still stuck on 1mbps max speed trying to download a damn 29GB game. One ****ing megabyte per second. This is ridiculous.

My area has good coverage, so there’s no excuse. The signal is fine. The problem is Telkom throttling the hell out of the network, seemingly intentionally too. I paid for 100GB of “night data” that’s basically unusable. And the worst part is that Telkom has been doing this for years. Even back to 2019. People have complained non-stop about it and unsurprisingly they still keep doing it. They ignore the feedback like it’s a joke.

Why still offer this bull**** if they know they're going to make it this slow? Why lie to customers and sell a massive bundle that’s only good for checking emails and watching loading wheels spin? There is absolutely nothing “value” about this package. It’s a **** disguised as a decent data deal.

I feel completely stupid now. Now I regret wasting some of my birthday money on this ****, and to be honest, I’m angry at myself for trusting Telkom bundles again. This isn't even about network congestion, it’s about Telkom throwing a big "**** you" at it's customers for trusting blindly.

Once I finish my second year of university, I’m out. I’m switching to Afrihost or literally any provider that has the decency to not treat their customers like garbage. We are tired of this nonsense and honestly, we’re praying for karma to get them at this point. You don’t deserve the customer base you have if this is how you operate.

Do better or get replaced.
