Telkom's inexplicable service interruption and lack of customer service
In March 2018 Telkom was requested to "move an existing Voice & Data Line" to a new address in the same residential area in Mosselbay. After innumerable follow-up requests the service was finally moved middle July 2018.
An amount of R 614.28 was reflected on the August 2018 account as allegedly "overdue/brought forward". The previous service had been paid in advance for a further two (2) months after the "old service" had been suspended. This in effect meant that there had to be a "surplus/ over-payment" on the service which obviously had not been brought into then equation.
The "new" service account is normally paid on the 1st of every month and ism NOT overdue. However, at the end of November 2018 the relevant service was "suspended" for no reason and I was unable to do any EFT payments and any/ all other business since I had - and still have - Zero access to the Internet. The frustration and inability to conduct my personal "small business" affairs should be quite evident from this particular situation.
Telkom's customer service in my personal opinion is simply appalling and they have no respect or concern for the "small-business" owner/s of this country. I currently am still without any Telkom service and am forced to "sit and wait" on Telkom to "decide" when they feel like "restoring the service" I am subscribed to and which I have in the interim paid bar the incorrectly reflected and alleged "overdue" amount.
Seems like Telkom, similar to Escom, SAA and SABC etc. are experiencing serious financial and Human Resources inadequacies.
Can someone at a Managerial or more senior level at Telkom PLEASE fix my problem without any further delay so that I may be able to carry on with my business without any more business interruption/s and negative impact on my and the business's professional image ?!
