Telkom's DWR-720/PW Wireless phone useless

I received a DWR-720/PW which I had to keep on charge for several hours as the battery died if I disconnected the charger. I took the phone to Telkom at the Pavilion for testing and they advised that it was working fine. Few weeks later I received a call from a gentleman at Telkom in Durban advising that there is a general fault with the phones and they would be recalled as they received a lot of complaints. It has been months still I have not received feedback from Telkom. Today I took the phone to Telkom at Mall of Africa and was advised that the phone would be tested and repaired. Unfortunately I don't have the tickets no's which I was given at the Pavillion. But I was given ticket no 84 at Mall of Africa. I paid the yearly rental upfront for the phone which I can't use.
