Telkom’s Dishonesty

On 28/11/2018 I took my Telkom supp**** D-Link WiFi router, to the Telkom shop at Fourways Crossing, for repair. The 12 month warranty had expired in May 2018. No information regarding the whereabouts of my faulty router, was given to me. In February 2019 I went to the same Telkom shop to take my LIT TV Android box for repair. Whilst there, I required about the whereabouts of my router. I was advised that the router was unrepairable for me to collect &informed that that I should purchase a new replacement.

On 25 February 2019, I took the same router to the D-Link SA offices in Centurion. Whereby, free of charge, the service staff restored it back to working order within 30 minutes. We also investigated Telkom’s repair process of this router to discover that this unit had never been to any repair workshop. According to D-Link’s data base record, this unit only went to Telkom’s warehouse & then sent back to the Fourways Crossing Telkom shop as unrepairable! Telkom is ordered to explain this unacceptable lack of good customer service & proven blatant lies?

Meanwhile my, under warranty, Telkom supp**** Android LIT unit, was returned for repair on 8 February 2019. I have confirmation that the router was repaired early last week, & is in transit from Telkom’s warehouse to 4-Ways crossing shop but, as of yesterday, it still has not been received there? I was sent away & told to wait for an SMS message that I may collect it. I am still awaiting that SMS!!!
