Telkom's can't fix my town's issue

I wouldn't even give Telkom a quarter of star, as they are simply useless!!!!!!

My town, Kleinmond Western Cape, has been struggling with our exchange, this problem has been present since December 2017.

Eventough Mweb is my Internet Service Provider, I pay around R850 per month for my 4mbps. Telkom is still responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the infrastructure.

I have taken Telkom to ICASA on the 20th March, they called me once, send a technician to my house, he fixed my telephone pole. But Telkom never asked if the problem is fixed. They told me to email ********** if the problem still persists. I have done so as i am still experiencing problems frequent times per day. But they never email me back.

I took Telkom to ICASA once again on the 15th of April, they just send me a sms to call the technical call centre , number 10210. How pathetic is this???? I am expecting some sort of technician to phone me immediately, as this problem is going on for 5 months now. I am not going to waste my time, waiting 35 minutes to get in touch with a technician, as their call centre is so pathetic.

I am not the only one in my town/neighborhood who struggle with Telkom on a daily basis. There is a Facebook group we created, regarding Kleinmond Telkom slow adsl speed. We have around a 100 participants, who all filled in a Telkom survey regarding our issue.

My connection is so unstable my adsl disconnects around 10 times per day, my download speed ranges from 0.1 to 1.5 most of the times. My latency never goes below 200ms.

I used to get a constant 3.6 mbps download speed and 0.5 upload, before December 2017. And this is what I am expecting.

I am demanding a refund on every month's bill since December 2017, as I have no joy at all.

Telkom, if you read this. I hope you are not supprised, as I think you are getting this type of reviews on a daily basis.

I have never witnessed this level of incompetence, guess I can't complain about service, as there seems to be no service!!!!!
