TELKOM: WORST SERVICE PROVIDER EVER
Telkom is the worst. The do not fix or replace copper cables anymore, but also do not have anything in place who will suite the elderly or people on pension. They want my mother of 90 years old to take out a contract of two years for a phone now. Currently they do not have a working phone because the cables are ****** or damaged. She now has to pay R225 per month for a contract , excluding the calls she will make. The package allows her to call Telkom to Telkom but any other number will be additional the R225. Her Telkom bill never goes over R200 most of the times , but now her bill will increase to R400. this is not right, but when you call them the Telkom assistance greet with a saying how can we make your life better. How is increasing a pensioner's Telkom bill makes her life better? Telkom did not consider how their decision will impact the elderly who live s on a pension. For the last 3 weeks she has no connection and cannot even call someone when she has an emergency, thanks to Telkom. Telkom also do not tell you all of this. When you call to log a call for the fault, they disconnect you when they hear it is a copper cable. I had to tell the person now not to drop the call before she explains what can be done. She assisted me while the previous four just dropped the call when they heard it a copper cable problem, how unprofessional is that? After the call they want you to complete a survey. Your problem has not been solved, but you have to rate how your problem was solved, really now! Telkom is useless and do not care about clients but can cut your line very quickly when you missed payment, but when you call them, they are useless and cannot assist you. SHAME ON YOU TELKOM FOR NOT CONSIDERING OUR VERY ELDERLY AND PENSIONERS
