Telkom Worst Service Provider!

I have literally had to psych myself up to able to write this complaint as every dealing with Telkom feels as though I'm smashing my head against a brick wall.

We had uncapped ADSL (4mb line) in Belgravia, conveniently 3 weeks into trenches being dug for fibre installation the cables for the entire area was ******. On the 20 November we were told that it will not be replaced as fibre was being rolled out, quite strange as residents would soon have options and their monopoly has already started crumbling. Google this and you will shocked how many other areas this happened in, this is their modus operandi when fibre comes to your area. Be that as it may the only option we were given is being locked into a 24 month LTE contract with Telkom as fibre would only be ready in Jan/Feb 2020. Also note we were billed for December, no services rendered irrespective of all the cases logged. After numerous calls and visits to the store we had no option as buying data daily was becoming way to costly. Telkom didnt even have the courtesy to offer the residents an interim option given that we signed up for a service that they failed to provide. Anyway after arguing we decided to take a prepaid LTE option (month to month), note it is way more expensive for way less data and just a sim, no router. It's been a week after three different routers we still only get speeds up to 2mb, super slow! Thankfully I was not stupid enough to get sucked into signing a 24 month contract with them as their LTE speed is absolutely appalling. Imagined being locked into this services for 2 years. I went into the store and the consultant said their LTE only goes up to 10mb, really in this day and age, why do even sell this, it's a complete *******! But basically they said there is nothing they can do.

Now you wonder why you loosing this much customers, your customer service is a joke, you openly robbing customers and your service you provide is for those living in the stone age.

So my warning to all people is do not take Telkom LTE, actually do not take anything Telkom. Save yourself the nightmare.
