Telkom - worse than a government department!

I reported an internet connectivity problem to Telkom 10 days (and counting) ago, and all response has been an sms stating that a technician has been assigned to deal with the matter.

Other than that - NOTHING!

The internet connectivity problem reported 15 days (and counting) ago has not been resolved at all. Telkom have repeatedly told me that the matter "has been escalated", even providing (ultimately meaningless) reference numbers.
The reply from Telkom states that "as per our email correspondence", they will be in contact (which they have not been unless I iniated same), not understanding that I have NO INTERNET CONNECTIVITY! How should I read those emails? This partly explains this exasparating problem.
I have repeatedly been told that a technician has been assigned and that a cable needs to be replaced, BUT NOTHING HAPPENS! NOTHING! How difficult is it to replace a cable, in a metropolitan area?
The one star given for this "service" is one too many. PATHETIC!
