Telkom won't cancel my service
I am having such a hard time with Telkom to cancel my landline and ADSL, and it's getting extremely frustrating.
On 6 March 2018 I called and like always held the line for 28 minutes before someone answered. The I was adviced that I could not cancel the products over the phone, no could I cancel them in a shop. I was told to log in online and cancel it there.
I did this and received a confirmation email for cancellation of both products. Ref ********** 1 for the ADSL and ref ********** 4 for the landline. I gave a month notice, and both of these were supposed to get disconnected on 7 April.
On 10 Aprill the services were still active, so I chat online with Nompumelelo Nokubonga Nomfun Mngadi (NN). He asked me to prove that I cancelled the services and when I told him I had two emails with the references he asked me to forward it to him at ********** which I did. He said he would escalate this and get it resolved.
I got an email back saying: "For further enquiries please contact 10210".
This is not acceptable, when I call 10210, I'm told to do it myself online, when I do that nothing happens, when I chat to a person nothing happens, and I'm told to call 10210.
I suppose I am also still being billed for my landline and ADSL even though it should have been cancelled 10 days ago after a months notice.
This service is pathetic, and I am very unhappy about this.
Can someone please do what they are being paid to do and cancel the services for me, or call me, you have my 2 reference numbers so I am sure you can get my phone number off of that.
I just don't understand why in this day and time with everything being electronic this situation still arises, there is honestly no excuse for this, other than doing it on purpose to get me to pay extra money on services I no longer want.
