Telkom Wonderboom Junction whats wrong with you!
I did my phone contract upgrade at this branch and the guy who helped me was very nice and helpful. I got the Samsung Galaxy note 20. One month after I got the phone It started giving serious problems, they had given me a faulty device. Unfortunately I got covid and had to be in isolation twice, thats 20 days of isolation. On top of that I am also a frontline healthcare worker and due to the 3rd wave didn't have alot of time off to return the phone. Two weeks ago I had a day off and took the phone back to them. The guy informed me that since I don't have warenty with telkom they will send it back to samsung as I have 1 year warenty there. I told them this was perfectly fine. They had me wait 2 and a half hours as they booked the device in. I then got a piece of paper saying that it was booked in for repairs. Fast forward 1 week and I get an SMS from Bradian Logistics, a telkom repair partner, quoting me almost R6000 to repair the phone. I was working a shift and had to wait 3 days before I could go back in to the telkom shop, because their phones don't work for some reason. When I get there another guy assists me. I tell him the story and he is very confused. He goes into the back room for about 15 minutes and returns. He tells me that I am not suppose to pay and that they will contact Bradian Logistics to fix the mistake. I ask him why they didn't send it to Samsung like they said they will and all he said was don't worry we will fix everything. My worry was that if this Bradian Logistics tampers with the phone that I won't have warenty at samsung anymore. I leave the telkom shop and run some other errands for the day. When I get back home around 3 in the afternoon I get a call from Bradian Logistics. They guy is calling to find out when I plan to pay the money for the repairs. I tell him that I am not suppose to pay and that they should wait for a call from telkom. This guy has the audacity to tell me that they didn't receive a call and that I should pay the amount because its only valid for 7 days from the day the quote was sent. I tell him I am not going to pay and that he should wait for telkom to contact them. He then tells me that if I don't pay and reject the quote I will be fined R180 and my phone will be sent back after this is payed. This is the most horrible customer service I have ever encountered and worst of all I am still required to pay the monthly installment for the phone of R800. Telkom needs to fix this ASAP. I will also be contacting samsung. And Bradian Logistics needs to learn to talk to customers better aswell.
