Telkom wireless phones not advisable

The new wireless phones delivered by Telkom, are not advisable - please stick to the old phones! I have a wireless phone in the Northern cape about 300 km from the nearest Telkom customer care facility. It was delivered in April 2019 and is still not activated after numerous calls and promises. Then one honest assistant told me they are having trouble in that area and that is why, with a reference number and a promise that a technician will contact me, nothing has become of it so far. Meanwhile I have to pay the account every month for NO service, and they have put the fee up with R70 plus rand. No one cares about the problems, and the customer, who had a perfectly functional phone line, now has nothing except an account from Telkom. Lots of people are complaining about the same problem, no matter where they are. Please be advised and refuse the new wireless phone. You can't connect your fax or have extensions in your house. It's a big farce with a lot of innocent suckers on the line.
