Telkom will NEVER HELP you when you need them.

My phone got lost23 at Carnival Mall. I Immediately went to the Telkom branch at Carnival mall to ask them to block my phone. The date was the 27th of August 2023.

They immediately called their call centre to block the phone. I was panicking and distraught, I asked them to block it completely as all my apps were on it.

The following day when I called the phone, it was still ringing but it wasn't being answered. I went to Telkom and asked them for a sim swop and they said they can't assist me as I owe R1.50 .

I was advised they were investigating and they never got back to me till today. At the store they advised me that the Data was till working on the 1st of the following month. My phone had my banking apps which show that the ********s used my banking apps on the 28/29 & 30th.

I lost R72 000.00 and have never been called back by Telkom to let me know about my case. I ma very disappointed because if they helped with my case same day I would have been saved.

My case numbers were: ***6 & ***0 Police case number: 507/8/2023 in Brakpan.

I am very helpless now and have not gotten feedback from the company who I untrusted my asset with.

I am left with contacting the media and journalist because nobody wants to come back to me every single time I call.
