Telkom, WHERE ARE THESE CHARGES COMING FROM?!

I am absolutely FED UP with Telkom and the way my account has been handled.

On 30 April, I received an email from Telkom informing me that my contract had come to an end and giving me the option to upgrade or cancel. I chose to CANCEL.

Then the problems started.

In June, Telkom attempted to debit approximately R700 from my account. I disputed this because my understanding was that my contract had already ended.

Instead of properly resolving the matter, my account was handed over to Nudebt, who then told me that I owed R1,213.05.

I had absolutely no understanding of where this amount came from. However, because I was tired of dealing with the matter and wanted it resolved, I paid the R1,213.05 myself and submitted my proof of payment.

You would think that would be the end of it.

NO.

On 28 August, Telkom deducted another R801.96 from my account.

For what???

And then, on 2 September, I received ANOTHER SMS from Nudebt demanding R1,069.30.

At this point, I am beyond frustrated and angry.

How can I owe R1,213.05, pay it, submit proof of payment, then get debited another R801.96, and then receive another demand for R1,069.30?

Where are these amounts coming from? What exactly am I being charged for? Why is my account continuously being sent to collections when I have already disputed these charges and paid the amount I was instructed to pay?

I have been a loyal Telkom customer for years, but this experience honestly makes me feel like I am being taken advantage of. I should not have to repeatedly pay amounts that nobody can properly explain to me.

The only monthly charges I understand and expect are my insurance fee and the data SIM that was offered to me. Everything else needs to be properly accounted for.

I have also spoken to two Telkom consultants, and instead of assisting me, I was met with extremely poor and rude customer service. Neither consultant could give me a proper explanation or resolve the issue.

I want this investigated properly, my account corrected, and a clear explanation provided.
