Telkom warranty

I have the worst experience ever with Telkom Repairs Service. I have bought 9 months ago a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus phone, a few weeks ago started giving me issues so I brought it to Telkom Repairs. After two weeks I have received the following SMS: "Dear Ivan Tabakov your device has been deemed out of warranty and has been quoted for R6,719.00incl VAT. Payment to Bradian Logistics, FNB, Account No: ********** 8884,Ref No:TRJ075546.Quote Valid for 7 Days. A consultant will be in contact shortly. Telkom Mobile" So we called Telkom and they explained that there was water in the charger so the fon is damaged and I need to pay for the repairs! According to Samsungs website, the phone is water resistant quoting Samsung's website "Water Resistance IP68 *Based on test conditions of submersion in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes." but according to Telkom the phone is not waterproof so if water gets to your phone it deemed the warranty. Here is the email from Telkom "Sent: Monday, January 7, 2019 12:02 PM To: ********** Cc: Telkom Repairs ********** Subject: TRJ075546

Good day Please note that the unit was quoted out of warranty due to the liquid damage. Kindly see the below differences as the devise is water resistant but not waterproof.

A waterproof material or product is able to provide sustained protection from water for a significant period of time. A Water resistant product or material can prevent water penetration to a certain level. It is not completely impervious to water penetration, but can stand limited exposure to precipitation Please find the attached technical report and damaged pictures Kind Regards" So now I have to fight with them and they are saying that if I don't approve the quote for repairs there will be also cancelation charges and I'm disputing the warranty. Samsung is selling a water-resistant phone and Telkom says that is is not! If someone can please help me.
