Telkom vetting

On Thursday i was going through telkom website and i saw a laptop deal that caught my attention and i app**** online then a few minutes later a lady from sales department called and said before we continue with the application she has to do credit vetting and i said okay and a few seconds later she said everything is okay we can continue with the application. After providing her with my details she said we are done and even welcomed me on the telkom family and said they will call me regarding the delivery everything is okay on their side. A few hours later i received an sms stating that my order was declined during credit vetting.

I dont understand how could that lady said everything is okay we can continue with the application then all of a sudden its declined. I need an explanation telkom, you cant go around playing with our feelings like that. What could have changed in that short space of time.
