TELKOM - VERY BAD SERVICES

My telkom adsl line has now been offline for almost 3 weeks. I reported the fault 452CTK240117 with telkom advising that the adsl line is not working. After multiple communications to them via calls and online service chat inquiries. They sent me sms that states that the problem is 50 then 70 and now 90% resolved. Telkom is still billing me for the line that is not working and as the telkom service provider is billing me for the service that i am not getting.

Reviewer Update

Hello, and thanks for the first real feedback about my reported problem. I do agree and understand now why this is taking so long to get repaired as the last update i received was that the problem is 90% resolved. My complaint about the bad service still stand. If Telkom just told me 2 weeks or just a week ago that they will take forever to get the line fixed because of theft of a huge distance. - I would have understood and maybe not think that Telkom is just giving me automated message messages with percentages on a weekly basis. Please note that customers are not that stupid in South Africa and we do understand if a problem is in fact a real critical incident for the Telkom business like a cable theft of 200 pair underground cables ****** for 100meter. What i also still do not appreciate is to still be billed for something i am not getting. If Telkom do not supply a service - why is the client still billed? As my understanding of the consumer act goes - a client has the right to stop payment if the service is no longer available. But Telkom billing still forces the billing on the client even if the service is not there. If it was the client fault the service is down - then I will agree to the continued billing. But this is clearly a disregard of the consumer act for the client of Telkom in South Africa. I look forward to your feedback as soon as possible.
