Telkom utterley useless

<p>Ten days ago I took advantage of one of Telkom's "June Specials" and ordered an LTE roueter and data package for R199 per month for 24 months. I was impressed when an agent phoned the next day and a telephonic contract was duly completed. I was told my bank account would be debited with a first payment, and a router hand-delivered by courier. A week later, nothing, so I phoned the 10213 number. After four calls and a total hold of 20 minutes (Telkom, you understand, are experiencing "high call volumes") an agent took my ID, was able to tell me that there was a record of the original agent's call to me, but that the order had vanished. Unless I could remember the agent's name (Telkom, you understand have "dozens" of agents) there was no way anyone could explain what had happened to my order. So ( after a similar occurence in December 2015) I have lost out. A prediction; Telkom is heading the same way as the Post Office. I hope to have better luck with MWeb, who are not a parastatal. </p>
