Telkom - Useless customer service

I had a SmartBroad Band 20 Gb plan. I was using more than this in a month and buying top up bundles. I then went into the Telkom Store at Fourways Crossing to discuss migrating to a higher plan. The consultant said I could move to the 50 Gb plan and that would give me enough data (given my usage) and reduce my monthly spend. I ask several times if I would be charged a migration fee for this. He reassured me that because I was moving up a plan, no migration fee would be charged. NOT to my surprise, I was charged a migration fee at my next debit order day. I have called and logged a request to have this resolved 4 times. I've been to the store 3 times Telkom's official answer is to pass the buck. They responded with their inability to deal with this as it is a store issue. The store was surprised by this answer as they dont have the authority to deal with accounts complaints. So its nicely positioned that Telkom takes no responsibility for their own employees actions nor the actions of their own stores, and then on top of this gives no authority to their stores to deal with any form of customer complaints. The migration "penalty" for going up a plan totals R950. This was charged in February. Ive just logged another complaint a request for assistance, again not to my surprise, my 4 other complaints have been removed off of their systems. Absolute joke. In addition to this, I asked for my statements from the start of my contract in August. According to the consultant on the phone, my contract started in October (even though I have bank statements showing August). In addition to this, she could only access statements from this year as their system is quote "broken and telkom is aware of the issue and working on it", so they have no site on previous years statements at all. She also stated that this has been the case for several years, a complete in ability to view previous years details on all of their clients accounts. Just blind.

In addition to this, I have cancelled my account (it has passed the 24 month contract length) IN STORE and received a proof of cancellation notice via email on the 16th of January. Telkom has completely ignored this and kept my contract active and charged me for February and March subscriptions. When calling Telkom, I have been blamed by their call centre agents saying, "Sir, can you confirm that you cancelled it or that you wanted it on a month to month contract". I dont know how Telkom defines cancelled, but to the rest of the world, cancelled means completely stopped, deleted, history. Not some kind of version of cancelled where you can still use the exact same service you have asked not to be able to use, unbelievable comments from Telkom.

Ive also learnt that when a monthly debit order does not go through, the hit you with a R202 penalty fee so now this amount has been added to what they say I owe for 2 months.

additionally when speaking to the call centre last week and brining up the fact that I am still owed R950 from the migration fee I was never meant to pay for, the answer was - Oh, thats not my department, you must speak to sales about that - talk about customer service. I will never use Telkom for anything ever again, beyond useless after sales service, never willing to help resolve an issue, pass all the blame onto the client.

In addition to this I have received SMS's and phone calls from a law firm calling on behalf of Telkom threatening to blacklist me if I dont pay the amounts.

I cant use the words I want to to describe how this experience has made me feel.
