Telkom. Useless company, useless staff.

Nature of Review are multiple issues. Issues are Customer service, Refund, Bad service, Feedback Response & delivery on time

Let me start this off by saying, you don't care about the customer. It was plain and simple to see in my experience, when dealing with your company and inadequate staff over the past 2 month. The situation left me with the same position I was in when apply for the contract. On the 22nd August I did an online application for a 4mbps uncapped adsl package with you guys. I got proof, as you sent me an email. Less than an hour later, a consultant contacted me saying the application was approved and a technician would contact me in 5 - 14 working days. I waited the 5 to 14 working days, yet nothing from Telkom. I thus decided, let me call in to see what's happening. I get told we can't find your application. I asked them to search for the calls which I get told they can’t do if they if they don't have the date, time of call nor the consultant name. I call bull****, working in a call centre its very easy to find a call, all you need is a cellphone number. Was the agent telling the truth which means your systems are as **** as your service or was the agent lying to me? please feel free to answer this (doubt you as your consultants only answer he communication the feel like answering). I spoke to the T/L with the email address ********** to whom I sent an email of my ordeal, to which he said he would get back to the next day. The next day and not to my surprise, I got nothing. The call happened on the 13th Sept 2017. After multiple calls and no resolution, I decided let me try hello peter, maybe I’ll find some resolution . that way, but h no, it’s the same **** different day, different platform. This was on the 15th of Sept 2017. On the 19th of Sept, yippee your *********** staff by the name of Rafeeqah contacted me via email from ********** Her email was as follows “Good day Aden, We do apologise for this experience. We unfortunately, do not find any profile listed under your ID number. If you are still interested applying for this Fixed line Unlimited Home deal at R599, please complete the attached form and respond together with a copy of your ID. Thank you. Regards. When I enquire about what was done to find the original application, guess what ? jack **** response was given to me. I enquired again a week later 26h Sep 2017 but oh no, Rafeeqah doesn’t respond,, neither does anyone who works from the mailbox where the email ********** is linked to. I then decide, let me given this one last chance and decide lets just go into the store and see if we can get this sorted. I went to your Blue Route Store on the 28th Sept 2017.I did the application and though finally, this could be resolved, but no there was more bull**** to come. On the 3rd October, I receive an email from Asiphe Bolotini ********** (why is he even employed by you?)saying I need to make a payment of R700. When I about the amount, no response. I make the payment on the 3d and finally get a response from the idiot after I sent through proof of payment(you see, replies when he wants to).I know this because there was a period we mail each other and his response were quick, while other emails he doesn’t respond to at all. Eventually I get an sms last week Monday 9th Oct 2017 to say the installation will happen on Wednesday 11 Oct 2017. Finally D Day arrive and I thought ill finally get my wifi installed after 2 months of the worst service from Telkom but nope, plost twist. The technician calls me and says he cant install the line because of the area I live in there aren’t any copper cable, meaning I need a wireless phone. He went as far as saying that they were stupid to send him because they should know that a wire landline phone can’t be installed in the area. He advised me, he will send the order and that I need to apply for a wireless landline. Another issue but ok I decided to do it. I went to your Telkom store at blue route on the same day where I advised the same agent about this and asked her to cancel the current order and apply for a wireless line. She advises me she cancelled it and that I would need to apply at a Telkom direct for a wireless line. I eventually went to your Telkom Direct Store in Adderely on Thursday, where your consultant advised me I can’t use the wireless line for the asdl packages. He advises that they are for 10 mpbs or more or only available in certain, none which are coloured areas. None in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, areas like Camps Bay and Seapoint. Do you not think that you’ve made it hard for people in areas like I live in to have access to this? Is it because I live in a disadvantaged community that you think we can’t afford the packages you offer, therefore you have not make this easily accessible as you have in other advantaged areas? Why did it take 2 full months wasting my time, effort and money to realise we can’t give you the package due to the area you live in? When making the application, why didn’t the consultant check if they can install a wire landline in the area I live ? When the technicians were testing, did they not check the area to see that only a wireless phone could be installed due to the lack of copper cables in the area and after the fact that you’ve been to my house to install a wireless phone due to this fact?

After all of this, where am I now? At the start with no, less money because it’s been a week since I cancelled but I haven’t received my refund for the R700 I paid. Why are you quick to ask for money when customers don’t pay but when you owe the customer money, you are slow to pay it back? When am I getting my refund?

Do not given me another consultant who isn’t going to give me an honest answer to all my questions listed, just like every consultant I’ve dealt with before. If you both to respond to this, have all your facts in order.

Take the standard few days, that you guys always take to get back to me which is more than the majority of institutions. I'm not expecting much from your side, since you need to brush u on your customer service.

Thank you Telkom, you’re useless

Hi Keagan Apologises aren't needed because they mean nothing . I've heard countless apologises from telkom and up until this point your companies apologises have gotten me nothing, so its meaningless. I'm interested to see if you're any different from the other *********** staff at telkom, so we will see.
