TELKOM UPGRADING MY CONTRACT WITHOUT MY CONSENT

Im in the process of cancelling my current Fibre 20mbps Unlimited Contract which was taken out in March 2019 and ending March 2021. I received my February invoice and noticed a R70 additional difference on my invoice which is normally R999pm. When i queried this with 5 different Telkom Support employers they told me i was "Systematically upgrade automatically to a 50mbps line" in January 2021 WHICH I DID NOT AGREE NOR KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT IT n wouldnt have known about it had it not been for the R70 addition on my Statement.

Is this legal ? I didnt speak to any Telkom employers for this to Go Ahead , i have told those 5 Telkom employers to please take me off that as i did not agree to this , i have 2 reference numbers as i tried telephonically to cancel this Contract which goes until January 2023. First Ref No. *** , Second Ref No ***4 done on the Telkom APP ... they then told me the case has been closed as all test passed on the line BUT im still on 50mbps fibre line.

When i cancel and give 1 month notice next month i DO NOT want to be told i must pay this new contract in full to cancel and secondly i DO NOT want to be billed after cancellation as most people are complaining about it.

Ive been a Telkom customer for years and this isnt how i expected it to go.

I will call Telkom support again tomorrow to cancel this "New Contract" again but i dont see this matter being resolved.
