Telkom unwilling to assist in billing dispute

Three months ago, on the 9th of July, I upgraded my Telkom fiber package. During the call with Telkom sales, I explicitly asked the sales person whether the upgrade would take place at the end of July, or immediately. The sales person informed me that the upgrade would be immediately and that I would have all the benefits of the new package, which included an increase in speed from 40Mb/s to 200Mb/s and an increase of my softcap from 200Gb to 600Gb. Neither of this happened. Telkom has been charging me for the additional data that was used after the upgrade, even though my online profile clearly showed that I had been upgraded to 600Gb softcap. I have looged numerous billing disputes with Telkom, but they keep on stating that this is not a fault; they are billing me for extra data used - TELKOM IS BASICALLY BILLING ME FOR DATA THAT I ALREADY PAY FOR AS PART OF A PACKAGE; therefore, I am being charged double. Telkom references numbers are ***5 and ***1. To add insult to injury, the maximum speed I receive from my fiber package is 100Mb/s not the 200Mb/s that I am being charged for.

If Telkom is unwilling to assist in this dispute, I will be forced to migrate to another service provider; it is as simple as that. Typical of moden South African companies, Telkom seems to think that I need them, when in fact, companies like Telkom need customers. Frogfoot fiber has been installed in our neighbourhood; just waiting for the service to be activated.
