Telkom ******** sales

Brought a brand new Wi-Fi mobile router from Telkom today (after standing in the queue for môre than an hour).

We were promised Wi-Fi speed of an average of 50mb/s.

On their interactive website our address is indicated as being in a 4G zone, so we believe the sales reps (2 independent people at Telkom confirmed this speed that we can expect).

All of this just to get home to an internet speed of less than 1mb/second.

We have logged a call to the call centre, no change, reset a million times, no change.

This is ******* to sell products under false pretences as per the Consumer Protection Act.

This has supposebly been escalated, and still nothing has come of it, and cases have been closed.
I have cancelled this account in January and have informed the agent at the Canal Walk, Century City store that I will no longer pay for this service.
Still Telkom went and deducted the R999 from my bank account.
I subsequently reversed this payment and only paid the amount due on my cellphone bill.
Then this morning, Telkom ********LY and INCORRECTLY cut my cellphone off.
I have been on the phone with two agents, Charlene and Kaya Wenya and neither were helpful. Charlene apparently sent an email to Lesego Nxumalo who is dealing with this case to contact me, however Kaya was the most unhelpful call agent ever and just said that the account is overdue and he cannot do anything.
These are TWO SEPERATE contracts that have been signed, and frankly I do not care if Telkom cutts off the internet that never worked in the first place on which I have wasted R2000 already.
I am yet to hear back from Telkom who claims they phoned me on 10 February 2017 about the cancellation. This would have been directed at my husband as I have referred this to him as he is the family lawyer.
It is now more than a month since cancellation and two weeks since they claimed to have called me and NOTHING.
If this is the service I am getting, please release my cellphone number so that I can move over to another network that is not as useless and unfriendly and just pathetic as Telkom.
