Telkom Unilaterally Cancelled My Order Without Informing Me

Let's bullet point this:

- I see Telkom guys installing fibre in my area;

- On 15 March I phone in and find out that my area can now have speeds of up to 40mbps (yay!);

- I have a 2mbps line which has probably only ever gotten to 2mbps speeds twice in the last 6 months due to who knows what )Telkom can never give me a reason);

- I am happy that I can increase my speed so I proceed to apply for a 10mbps uncapped line; Everything is confirmed and I received an order confirmation reference number;

- Everything is confirmed and I received an order confirmation reference number;

- I phone back today (24 March) to find out what's happening;

- I find out that Telkom unilaterally cancelled my order on 20 March because my area cannot get anything more than 2mbps speeds (despite the consultant being very clear that I could);

- Oh, Telkom also did not inform me that they unilaterally cancelled my order.

This is the second time that Telkom has unilaterally cancelled an order of mine and I only found out much later when I call to find out what's going on. Sales say "sorry we didn't know" because the technicians are the ones who cancelled the order. As a customer, I don't care whether it was sales or technical's fault - the fact is that TELKOM messed up.

If Telkom did not have the monopoly on landline telecommunications infrastructure, I think they would have closed doors by now due to their consistently horrible customer service.
