Telkom unfair business practices

I have had a Telkom mobile contract for just more than a year and everything was fine up to now. My debit order failed from my account which I use for my debit orders, it is my mistake, as I should have insured that there is money in the account. However I have been advised when I spoke to Telkom not to go settle it, as the debit order as been loaded for the 31st of January. As soon as that goes off my services will be reactivated. It has been a difficult week without being able to use my phone. This morning, 1 February I have checked my qccount and and the debit order went off. So I have paid the outstanding amount in full. However my service is not restored.i have spoken to a lady at the call centre and she informed me that it would take 7 tot 10 days to restore. So in essence I have paid for a service in full, which I am getting punished for not being able to use it for about 2 weeks total. On top of that there is a fine for R200+ to reconnect. I am ok with this as it was my fault, but how can you take my service away from me which you have taken the money for. I have downloaded documents to report this matter to the consumer protection act. I need my phone as I am on the road all the time, driving vast distances. If something happens on the road I have no way to call for help. Telkom you are playing a dangerous game here.
