Telkom - ********* and super **** service

Where do i start.....the terrible experience....telkom gives the promise "unlimited calls".....to entice clients to take out their **** contracts with their so called "freeme" service...but 50 % of the time calls don't even go through and so many times calls are droped....imagine being in an emergency situation and having telkom mobile as your network provider....I'd rather not.

I would never recommend someone to take a contract with telkom.

Before opening a contract.....read all the fine print as they are a company which aims to take advantage of their clients pockets and trust.

Their ineficient staff do not talk about a spend limit when you open up a contract. A spend limit allows for a contract to spend more than the contracts value....thus a 299 contract becomes 800 with a 500 spend limit. I got caught out with this as the ********* staff employee named Thabisile at mall of the south, who assisted me with my contract concealed such information.

If you ever fail on a debit order....they charge a wopping 200.94 for the failure.....I thought charging for the failure was the bank's job.....**************** if you ask me. A lack of gratitude for clients.

Due to this publishing of truth about telkom....I'm sure that someone from telkom will probably phone me.....if their network allows them....

I trusted Telkom and believed that they were an honourable company...obviously not

I have never had such problems with other networks.

Wait....it gets better.....

I attempted at this point to cancel the contract...it took over 30 days for an agent to contact me after giving notice of cancellation ...at this time i was told to pay 4500 for cancellation fees which was once again not explained to me by the ********* Thabisile.

Note: turn around for telkom cancellation is over 30 days ......even better than their network service

I lodged a complaint for lack of disclosure of information and got my lawer to handle the case.

Various agent called me and promised to sort my problem out....one specifically named Fuso Kumalo who gave the misleading impression that the contract will be cancelled....he said that all I had to do was to bring in the device or wait for a technician to pick up the device from my residence.

after calling me over 3 weeks ...that's 3 weeks after the 30 day issue of cancellation notice, he said he would call me last week Friday....as expected this never happened. I guess this time playing game is to keep me stuck on the contract untill it expires.

I got tired of waiting and took the device in to mall of the south was I confronted with pure stupidity. The same agent named Thabilsile took the device back and said she sent an e-mail to Fuso Kumalo.....I had to ask for proof of handing in the device....seriously!

Then another employee of telkom decided to change the game and tell me that they cannot take the device as they were not instructed to....now i understand where he is comming from....clearly a lack clarity from Fuso Kumalo to waste more of my time.

Thabisile and companion said they would phone Fuso Kumalo to find out about the return of the device for my convenience.....all they did was e-mail him and not call....perhaps they knew that they might not get through on the telkom service. So much for helping the customer.

Then the best thing happened......both staff members ...Thabisile and her companion said the device is broken as they could not activate it......activating the device needs an Internet connection....two staff members of telkom don't know how to activate a device..geeeeeez.....untrained if you asked me. But perhaps they put in their password for a their telkom network ...no wounder they could not get it to work...I mean it's the telkom service we are talking about.

Both members told me to get the device fixed fist before they can take it in eventhough the device is under warranty so even if their was a software problem....they are liable to sort it out.

What's worse is that both members spoke to each other in a language that I did not understand with a lot of laughs and grins......so much for respecting the client.

After leaving...I went home and activated the device in under 5 minutes...no i don't want a job a telkom...

Fuso Kumalo then phoned me and sang a different tune altogether....that i must pay for cancellation fees and apparently the phone is broken....the only thing that's broken is your network service and all other services.....what's not broken is Telkoms staff's lack of knowledge .....because you can't break something that does not exist.

I have all prufe of conversations with Fuso Kumalo and other cancellation agent as my device records all calls.

Perhaps they call it "freeme" cause clients will be saying free me from this contract for the entire duration of the contract.

I guess i don't have to go out my way to tarnish Telkoms reputation......they will succeed to do it on their own......nevermind.....I will still publish as much as i can and talk to as many as I can to damage Telkoms reputation.
